Ahem!
When I first saw his works a few years back, when I returned to the macro and furry scene, I was floored by how wonderful and detailed and dream-like his digital paintings were. He captured size and scale and perspective like few others had managed to grab me with. Until I saw Kernel's art, Cougr was, is, always will be my favorite macro artist. Everyone else was 2nd. But then Kernel appeared and blew me away. Become my 2nd favorite forever more... and likely not to change.
I draw. I know art. Am familiar with it all, so I do not usually gush or go goofy over another artist's work, regardless how good it is. Strype, Axer, Scream, all those others out there... I love their works but they don't quite touch me like Kernel's work does. So, when the shock came that he entered my Discord channel... I almost lost it. Felt like a giddy fanboy who had to run over and shout "AH-GUH!" at him. Never thought I would ever want to do that again. But I got to meet him and am so so happy to have gotten to know the truly good and kind person behind all the art. Then I got to commission him and am even happier. I had to have him in it with me. So... this is the result. OOne of my favorite pics ever of my kitty.

Lovely piece and I can't believe Wyld decided to stick me in there, the silly. You're an inspiration to wanting to crack the secrets of painting techniques whether you believe it or not.
Best show of Wyld's eyes ever. Imagined them like that based on my experience with the cat, but nobody ever did them right! Not even Wyld herself.
